Parade Starts at 10am SHARP!!...So line up on the streets of Downtown Mariposa early, (9:30am) to get ready for the Parade! Watch participants of the Parade come down Hwy. 140 through the heart of Mariposa. The Parade ends at approx. 11:30am/12pm . Shortly after the Parade we will start butterfly releases in the main event area off 5th St.
Mariposa Rocks will be holding this fun event for the kids on Sunday. The group will paint cute and colorful rocks, hide the rocks around town, and create clues to their locations onFacebook. Stay tuned for more information to come!

Free live music will play from Noon til closing on Saturday on the Arts Park Stage. The lineup:
- 12 - 12:30: UPS Sue and her line dancers will kick up their heels
- 1 - 2:30: Beth Healy will entertain with a Country Western and mixed program
- 2:30 - 4: Ronnie Sweeting and Good Medicine supply more C/W vibes
- 4 - 6 PM: Danny Milsap C/W music
This year, the adults are not the only ones to enjoy a hat decorating event. Kids are invited to come to this fun new Saturday activity. All supplies will be provided, including visors to be decorated, stickers, ribbons, etc. At 1:20, we will wind up the decorating and a kids' parade and hat contest will be held between entertainment on the Arts Park stage. Bring your creativity and have some fun!
NOTE: Time for this activity is still being finalized.
The Mariposa Museum and History Center will be holding an Open House, with Free Admission, on Saturday. This is a special day with demonstrations and tours, and you'll have the opportunity to see a stamp mill in operation. Free trolley rides will be available from downtown.

From 5:30 - 9:30 PM join us at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds to kick off the festival with a Cinco de Mayo celebration and the Butterfly Hat Competition held during the Taste of Mariposa. This event showcases Mariposa County Restaurants and is an ADULT ONLY event.. For $5.00, enjoy more wonderful appetizers and desserts than you can imagine. No Host bar will also be available with beer, wine and margaritas. Get up close and personal with the makers of some amazing hats, and find that perfect Art Piece, Collectible, or Gift during the live and silent auctions. A "Family Friendly" Event. Children between 2 - 10 years of age and residents of Mariposa County are eligible. The girls dress as BUTTERFLIES...and the boys as CATERPILLARS to carry out Theme of "Mariposa's Butterfly Festival". Event will be at Bootjack Stompers 4662 Morman Bar Crossing, CA, 95338, (Across from Mariposa Fairgrounds on Hwy 49 South).
