MARIPOSA BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL

THE MARIPOSA BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL BRINGS EDUCATION, MUSIC, VENDORS, FOOD, FAMILIES AND FRIENDS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD IN A CELEBRATION OF THE BUTTERFLY AND HONORS OUR UNIQUE AND FRAGILE ECOSYSTEM. HOSTED EVERY FIRST MAY WEEKEND IN BEAUTIFUL MARIPOSA CALIFORNIA, THIS SMALL RURAL SIERRA FOOTHILL COMMUNITY OPENS IT'S ARMS FOR ALL ATTENDING.

Mariposa County, formerly California's "Mother of Counties", has a rich history and great beauty, including that of Yosemite National Park.  Named for the Spanish word for "butterfly", every May Mariposa celebrates this special place that we live, sharing our local culture, history, and the beautiful butterfly with visitors from near and far.  Check out our 2018 video to learn more of what the Festival is all about!!!
